In the U.S, July is a great month for taking a long needed vacation. In India, July brings great anticipation of rains and a new school year. Irrespective of what part of the world you are in, July tends to be a month of happenings and excitement. It is the same for Chance Foundation!
CHANCE Foundation has several activities lined up for the upcoming months. We are anxiously awaiting the second Anniversary Celebration coming up on July 23rd! We will start Chai for Chance fundraiser very soon. It was a tremendous success last year and we hope to make this an annual event. Get ready with your favorite mugs, enjoy Chai and render your support. Stay tuned for the details!
Recently, our Vice President, Sheetal Kulkarni, visited Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital (Mumbai) in collaboration with the Duhita Foundation. These organizations have extended a big help to poor cancer patients. We are exploring options how CHANCE can further assist in improving the lives of these young patients. We will share a more detailed report of her visit soon.
Nominations for new CHANCE board members are open. We would like to invite you to join next year’s Chance Board. This is your chance to further strengthen your association with the organization. The engagement would start on July 23, 2017 when the new board and executive team is announced at our second anniversary celebration.
The only requirements for this job are:
- Commitment and Passion for the cause
- Willingness to lead initiatives
- Enthusiasm to support and help in all activities
- Motivation to rally others around you to contribute and associate with the organization
- Participation in Weekly meetings. One meeting each month is face to face; the rest can be taken remotely over phone.
