It has been a while since you received an update from the Chance Team. The pace of activity in many different areas occupied everyone’s time and energy. We hope to get back to our regular rhythm now. It was heartening to hear back from some members who noticed the lag and enquired about it. Your interest and your support are instrumental in keeping Chance team motivated and focused on its mission to help as many underprivileged children as we can.
With each passing year, Chance continues to gather funding support from artists who are willing to make Chance one of the beneficiaries of their shows. We started the year with SELEBRATION where a popular Twin Cities band Infusion paid tribute to the music of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy by bringing forward an absolutely entertaining concert. The audience loved them and they had a blast performing for them! And then just a few weeks back Quincy’s soulful singing in the event Yaadein mesmerized everyone. While all funds from SELEBRATION were geared towards Chance Foundation, YAADEIN team graciously donated some portion of the proceeds to support Chance projects. We are very thankful for this generosity and kindness and look forward to many more such opportunities in future!
And all the hard work put in by Chance members, volunteers and supporters comes to fruition as we hear successes from the various centers. Our center lead recently reported that in 2019 the children have done extremely well in 10th board exam.
• A total of 20 children have cleared board, 5 from Ankhir and 15 from Mehlana study centers.

• 3 children who got highest ranks in Mehlana Govt. School, Sonipat in 10th Board exam are from our Mehlana study center.

• Our child Sadhna scored 87.40{293b8dad4cb98c3a41a420f1ff1e4b322a9e9b0e31253c8c496b8b464e48b47f} and got top most position in Mehlana Govt. School.

• 5 children from Mehlana center scored above 80{293b8dad4cb98c3a41a420f1ff1e4b322a9e9b0e31253c8c496b8b464e48b47f} marks.

• At Ankhir, out of 7 children 5 children passed and secured good marks. Customized plans are being put in place for the 2 that need additional help. We want to make sure that all children are successful.

As always, we encourage you to go and visit Chance centers in India and experience first hand how far your contributions go! Dr Ajay Rawal who recently visited the Delhi center summed it up well – “Couldn’t find a more enthusiastic bunch of first graders, bursting with energy and a great sense of pride in showing off what they had learned. Every letter, every number on that blackboard is a testament to their courage, grit, and resilience, as well as to every minute and penny put in by Chance volunteers, supporters and members”

Stay tuned for the upcoming 2019 Chance Walk and don’t forget to post your favorite picture with a beverage as part of Chai for Chance fundraiser!
